Raptors on Hoverboards

Thanks to my cousin Paul for sending me this important information about Somerville. According to xkcd.com the highest number of Google searches for "raptors on hoverboards" comes from our own little 'ville. I'm intrigued. Have there been sightings of raptors on hoverboards around town? If so, I hope some photographic evidence emerges. In the meantime, keep searching the skies!

Um... it is because the search time is so exceptional that a single outlier gives us the top result: that one outlier being the strip author Randall Munroe. He lives in Somerville. He lists Somerville because that is where he lives. He is poking fun of his own fascination with raptors and/with hoverboards, not the city of Somerville's interest.

It is best not write about reading things into webcomics, because on the internet there are doubtlessly people that are more far knowledgeable about that webcomic then you, and they don't like ignorance! Grrr.

Oh, my....I think you mean "search term," no? Lucky for me, "knowledgeable" people like you are around to point out my errors with such tact.

Dude, you really need to lighten up. Maybe this will help?
Run this query on yourself:

Select * where Anonymous=hasaclue
My guess is you will receive the following
0 Rows Returned
then query:
Update anonymouslackoflanguageskillz set anonymouslackofhumor=usespellcheckand grammarcheck
Go
On a lighter note, I just love the internet. Folks I get the pleasure to converse with like yourself make me feel so much better about myself;-)

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I was reading XKCD just now, and I got to that post. I thought maybe I was missing a whole "raptors on hoverboards" movement, so I googled for it. AND IT BROUGHT ME HERE!!! I love the irony of it. you have unwittingly become the home of the raptors on hoverboards movement.

Congratulations :o)

Yeah, I "got" the rest of the jokes on that xkcd, but I didn't get the raptors on hoverboards thing, so I did a search. Anonymous answered my question, if in the rudest way possible. BTW, if you start typing "raptors on" Google automatically fills in "hoverboards" now.

I thought the fact that I was searching "Raptors on Hoverboards" for references to the comic strip I had just read was hilarious, but your lame attempt at humor just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, aka I just had a strong drink, because my opinion that the majority of people are self-reverent idiots has been proven.

Um, the fact that you think you're hilarious and feel the need to post that on my blog makes you an example of the "self-reverent idiots" you so condemn. But, hey, enjoy that drink.
